The Tuning Fork Practitioner Diploma Course is taken over three weekends with approximately two to three months between each module.
The course will be taught in person in small groups of no more than six.
In addition to attending the three modules, students will need to complete 27 case studies and one additional College workshop. Student Membership of the College, insurance and a first aid certificate will also be required.
Completion of the training will give practitioners the knowledge, skills and tools required to become a Tuning Fork Practitioner and improve the wellbeing of themselves, their clients and their environment.
Training takes place just outside Exeter in Devon at a venue easily accessible from the M5 or A303.

Prerequisites
It is helpful, but not essential, if participants have had some experience of healing or voice work before the course.
Assessment
Informal treatment sessions will be evaluated throughout the course and there will be a practical assessment during module three in which participants will plan and give a treatment. Twenty-seven case studies will need to be given and written up to complete the course.
Diploma
At the end of the course, provided participants have attended all three modules, have satisfactorily completed all their case studies, the practical assessments and completed an additional College workshop, they will be presented with their Tuning Fork Practitioner Diploma.
College Membership
By module two a student will need to become a Student Member of the College. Student membership is £40.00 and lasts for two years which should allow plenty of time to complete the course.
To become a Student Member please go to the Student Membership page.
Once practitioner training has been completed, participants can become a Member of the College of Sound Healing (MCSH). Annual membership costs £70. The membership year runs from 1st April to 31st March.
First Aid, Anatomy And Physiology
Students are expected to have a basic knowledge of anatomy and physiology and a current first aid certificate. First Aid courses are available from organisations such as The Red Cross and St John’s Ambulance, etc. The College also recommends Protrainings online first aid certification which costs £35. Certification lasts for three years.
Continuing Professional Development (CPD)
Once qualified, College Members are expected to choose activities to complete a minimum of 20 hours CPD per year.
Cost
£250 per module which includes a comprehensive manual. See also under College Membership, First Aid and Insurance.
To complete the course and their case studies, students will need a minimum of three Tuning Forks: unweighted C and G forks and an Otto 128 fork, preferably made by Biosonics. These may be borrowed during each module and will also be available to purchase, along with other forks (other sellers can be found online). The price of the above three forks is currently £130 and other sets will also be available to borrow and purchase at prices around £130 - £200.
Insurance
Students will need insurance cover while they are training. The College has a block insurance scheme with Holistic Insurance Services. The premiums are £35.59 for students and £56.50 for graduates. Practitioners who already have insurance for other modalities may find that they can add sound healing to their existing policy at no extra charge.
Booking
Please message or email the Course Tutor to make sure that there is space on the course. The number of available places is limited so that students receive the maximum support from the Tutor.
To reserve a place students will need to pay a non-refundable deposit of £100. The balance of £150 is payable one week before Module One. The fees of £250 are payable one week before Modules Two and Module Three.
