For full information about the training, please visit Lin's website under “Events - Sound Therapist Diploma Course” (CoSH)®" at www.osteo-info.co.uk
PREREQUISITES: It is helpful if participants have had some experience of healing and voice work, musicianship is not required, just a willingness to connect to your voice and sound. It is important that you are in reasonable health both mentally and physically. Please contact me to discuss if you are uncertain.
The five modules will take you on a journey through this ancient form of voice healing, giving you an understanding of how to use Sound and your voice for your own wellbeing and how to administer it to others. This core training primarily uses the Voice and Tuning Forks.
Additional instruments can be explored within the two additional workshops required as part of the training.
PART ONE serves as an introduction to using the voice for healing, and helps the participant connect to their voice with breathing techniques and exercises. It should be noted that a musical background is not required for this training, just a willingness to connect to the voice and sound it!
FROM PART TWO students will need to become student members of the College in order to gain insurance to carry out case studies. It will also be necessary to purchase C and G Tuning Forks at this stage.

PAST STUDENT FEEDBACK:
“Thank you, Lin, for gathering us together in harmony and community. As a complete novice, I found the prospect of exploring my voice in a group setting an intimidating but appealing prospect but, held by the generous spirit of others and hearing our harmonics, I understood that I am simply a note in the cosmic chorus. I learned too that, despite my belief that I cannot sing, my voice opened to its natural harmonic spectrum, is in resonance with the waves and vibrations that flow through all life. Sounding and chanting with unified purpose opened us to healing and to connection - to ourselves, to each other and the polyphonic voice of the universe.” LTB
“This was a small group of people in a psychically clean, silent, excellently held space. There was a spirit of scientific enquiry into sound inside and outside of me and how the sound I produce interacts with the sounds of others. I was encouraged to listen in a new way to harmonics and heard a glimpse (?) of the relationship between sound and suffering held in the body. Through the exercises and the atmosphere in the room, my voice became easy and very flexible. After experiencing a little of the potential of such a group, I will bring a clearer intention about my own healing to the next one.” SH
“I was very keen to learn more about toning and mantra, I came with no real expectations and it was the first time I'd done something like this. I love Lin's approach in her other work, so was suitably intrigued. It was a lovely, intimate session with just a small group of like-minded people. Lin set the scene beautifully, and she cleverly led us through a series of exercises getting us more and more comfortable and open to making our own sounds. It was a very special experience.”
