LEARN HOW TO SHAMANIC JOURNEY USING THE MEDICINE WHEEL

In this workshop you will gain an understanding of the principles of the Medicine Wheel. You will learn - How to Smudge with Sacred Sage , How to protect yourself whilst journeying, Journey for a Power Animal, have a Spirit Guide Journey and build your own healing space. You will be given your teacher crystal for your own medicine wheel. This course will then enable you to join one of my journeying circles.

AN INTRODUCTION TO WORKING WITH HIMALAYAN BOWLS

We will be working with the chakras and crystals. Learn about the history and application of the bowls and how they can be used therapeutically for self and others. Learn about their use in Sound Baths. This is a hands on workshop, if you have any bowls please bring them along.

RATTLE MAKING DAY

DATE : Saturday 26th April 2025

TIME : 11am - 5pm

In my Garden Studio - 22 Pioneer Terrace, Bedlington, Northumberland, NE22 5PW Vegetarian lunch included 

There will be a variety of sticks to choose from or you can bring your own (talk to me first about size please). The rattles are made from deerskin. You will produce a template cut out and make your rattle. This will be done in Sacred Space. As the rattle head will need to dry out, you will need to come back to finish off securing the head a couple of days later or be shown how to do this via zoom in your own home. In this day you will learn how you can work with your rattle, please wear old clothing.

REFLECTIVE PRACTICE WORKSHOP

Reflective practice what is it and how can this improve my work with Clients and your own Development. In my garden studio lunch included. 

My background is teacher, social worker, family therapist and life coach. I studied at Leeds University in a post graduate Reflective Practitioner Certificate for my work with undergraduate youth workers. I use reflective practice whilst working with my clients and students. 

This day will be spent looking at what it is how you can use it to improve your practice. Why? As therapists we often work alone and in the last 20 years of using this tool I have found it to be very beneficial in re-framing looking at strategies to achiieve  how to self assess.

Please prepare for this workshop with real examples names changed please. This workshop is with a view to setting up a zoom reflective practitioners group to give people the opportunity to enquire reflect and move forward with their work. Hopefully setting up an online forum for support and growth as I did in youth work.
